Spanning 12 acres, Kenilworth Park & Aquatic Gardens is the only national park dedicated to aquatic plants. Picture it: soft carpets of water lilies; blankets of pink lotus flowers; a rainbow of daffodils, violets, dogwood, and wisteria. Open all year, the gardens’ beauty changes with the seasons.
Kenilworth Park & Aquatic Gardens also boasts 40 bird species – including ospreys, bald eagles, herons, and wrens – as well as turtles, dragonflies, butterflies, and snakes.
Spend time exploring one of the many ponds, and watch frogs hopping around or turtles basking lazily on logs. Stroll along trails and see birds wading and hunting for food. Take along your binoculars for a memorable day of bird watching. Are you an artist? Bring your easel or sketchbook and recreate the gorgeous scenery.
